Overview
Odnis connects patients with nearby pharmacies around prescription uploads, medicine availability and pharmacy selection for in-person pickup. My contribution was the NestJS backend serving patient, pharmacist and administrator interfaces, using PostgreSQL and TypeORM.
My contribution
Patient & pharmacy workflows
Implemented OTP authentication, patient profiles, pharmacy onboarding and operations, nearby search, medicine-request broadcasting and pharmacy responses.
Request-scoped communication
Added messaging associated with medicine requests, alongside file handling and notifications.
API & delivery foundations
Translated product and UX requirements into contracts, entities, migrations and modules. Added wilaya/commune reference-data seeding, Swagger documentation, structured logging and deployment foundations.
Engineering focus
A modular backend for different user interfaces
The backend was organized as a modular monolith supporting patient, pharmacist and administrator workflows, with PostgreSQL entities and TypeORM migrations.
Supporting a request from discovery to response
Backend flows connected nearby pharmacy search, medicine-request broadcasting, responses and messaging tied to a request.
Outcome & scope
The work established backend functionality and integration foundations for the platform’s patient and pharmacy workflows, delivered through Aventique with the product team.
