Overview

CME—Commission Médicale d’Établissement—is a healthcare reporting application for annual reports. The project replaced a manual, document-heavy process for medical staff, with delivery in a six-person Agile team.

My contribution

Reporting backend

Developed a Node.js/Express REST backend with MongoDB and Mongoose.

Independent section saving

Split large reports into independently saved database sections so users could save and resume editing, reducing the risk of losing progress.

Integration contracts

Implemented GET, POST and PUT endpoints per section and provided Swagger and README documentation for frontend integration.

Engineering focus

Saving progress without submitting the whole report

The key implementation decision was to persist report sections independently, supporting save-and-resume behavior instead of treating the full annual report as one indivisible submission.

Clear backend boundaries

Applied clean architecture principles and the Repository pattern, collaborating with frontend, UX, product and DevOps colleagues.

Outcome & scope

The backend enabled users to save report sections and return to their work later, limiting the risk of losing progress while completing a large annual report.
